Manager – UI Engineering.
The Role
As the Senior Manager, you supervise a strong UI team by providing guidance on technology,
architecture and all aspects of software development in the life's cycle for front-end applications
and analytics products.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will responsible for:
Hands-on, in-depth systems applications, and ideally security knowledge to provide
leadership and guidance to the team
Striking the perfect balance between conflicting goals of Quality, Quantity, and Efficiency
Tracking both the team’s and individual contributors progress via SMART Goals, KPI and
OKRs.
Using principles such as Lean and MVP, and working with Product Management to define
the roadmap, and deadline commitments.
Reducing the time per software iteration, pushing the boundaries of operational
excellence when it comes to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, including
aspects like pipeline, workflow, load testing and automated QA.
Leading an organization of Development and DevOps engineers
Working the product delivery life cycle with a global project team of engineers
Creating development and deployment plans, executing on a phased development
schedule and conducting integration testing working with remote teams located in the US
and UK
Evaluating and recommending technology solutions, tools, data feeds to meet scalability
and growth targets, create prototypes, and carry out phased development and
deployment plans
The Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
5-10 years of relevant experience leading a SaaS team up 25 engineers
Knowledge of software installation/deployment processes, performance, and scalability
A pro-active self-starter and ready to take lead in all areas of the Scrum process, from
sprint planning over daily standups to sprint Demo
Experience delivering scalable, high quality production software
Solid foundational understanding with Angular, JavaScript, and web-technologies like
HTML5, CSS
Knowledge of Cloud / SaaS-based infrastructure, using Amazon AWS, EC2, Lambda, S3,
DynamoDB, Kinesis, etc
Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines and measured the UI user experience, using
common metrics
Building and/or using security products IDS/IPS, WAF, Scanning is desirable.
Responsive design, secure coding practice is desirable
Strong communication skills and Business English is required
15% travel to USA.
