Imports Administrator

Location: Head Office, Cardiff

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Imports Administrator! An Imports Administrator’s role is to assist the Shipping Co-ordinator with administrative duties that are generated through the imported lines that are sourced by our Group. This role exists to assist the Shipping Co-ordinator in the performance of the day-to-day operations within the Shipping department.

Responsibilities

·Run external “Ligentix” shipment reports, processing the results to create bookings.

·Uses online “Ligentix” track & trace tools in order to effectively respond to requests by merchandising departments

·Processes daily incoming post, correctly referencing and filing original documents.

·Identifying, endorsing and sending transport documents of Title of Goods to ensure delays are not encountered upon arrival at UK ports

·Managing compliance by suppliers relating to shipping advice emails.

·Working to and reporting on departmental KPI’s.

·Producing delivery schedules for Transport Department..

·Assist with archiving of old import files at our Nantgarw warehouse.

Communication:

·Ensures all colleagues within department are kept fully updated of potential problems relating to vessel arrivals or container availability

·Demonstrates the ability to proactively solve problems for internal departments, external customers and suppliers.

·Proactively seeks to resolve problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken.

Efficiencies:

·Constantly assess department is adopting ‘Best Practice’ on current processes

·Assesses department processes to make cost efficiencies wherever possible.

·Avoids additional costs relating to container movements by securing timely deliveries to DC.
