ASEAN conutries can be the next big thing: their gross domestic products combined to $2.73 trillion in 2017 and the economic growth in the region is impressive. A recent report from McKinsey Global Institute listed both Cambodia and Myanmar among economic outperformers. ” East and Southeast Asia has been the best-performing region, lifted by the soaring economies of all seven long-term outperformers as well as four recent outperformers: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam” states the study the of the worldwide consulting company.

Moreover, last week Myanmar’s government launched an ambitious promotion plan to attract foreign direct investment. They believe it is the key for better economic development. Myanmar Investment Commission aims to reach more than $200 billion in FDI during next 20 years.
