Job DescriptionThe Role: Reporting to the Director of Consumer Testing, you will be responsible for: Assess, monitor, interact and, as appropriate, influence the external regulatory environment. Recommend actions to ensure readiness to address potential new standards and requirements impacting broad variety of consumer and professional products. Ensure that appropriate regulatory knowledge and strategic advice and support is provided to senior management, sales teams and clients. Drive and direct new company initiatives for new services and process improvements and corrective action programs based on results of senior management project reviews, regulatory authority requirements. Support development and enhancement of staff skills, resources and tools and provide staff required train, mentor, coach ( no direct report - influencing role) Assist lab operations for enhancing accreditation scope (such as ISO 17025), review of data from laboratory and test reports for interpretation assistance to clients and work closely with other analytical labs to schedule studies and to request appropriate tests from/to support teams. Drafting and reviewing information for technical reports and/or regulatory submissions. Knowledgeable of appropriate compliance procedures in an analytical development environment. • Present technical information about assigned projects orally at meetings and seminars at internal and external forums and may serve as a representative of the department or company for industry regulators or in industry groups such as Steering Committees associated with standards development.
Skill RequiredMasters Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Preferred Ph.D. or Certification in Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance. 10+ years of relevant experience in the analytical chemistry within the chemical industry or regulatory agency. Experience and thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance issues and processes and knowledge of GLP compliance. Ability to establish effective working and team relationships with internal and external customers, works in a collaborative manner Strong communication and organizational skills.
