Due to increased workload and new opportunities, they currently have the following vacancy for their project in France and Switzerland:

| Job Description | • Acceptance of radioactive waste and record of its characteristics in an electronic database. Verification of the presence of a Waste Identification Form, and its conformity with respect to the waste item. These actions shall be performed within four hours from the delivery of the waste at the Centre for treatment of radioactive waste;
• Performance of RP measurements: direct measurement of dose rate and control of the surface contamination. If needed, performance of relevant sampling for gamma-spectrometry;
• Pre-conditioning with the aim of securing the temporary storage and volume reduction and separation of materials of different nature: dismantling of complex components, cutting and compressing voluminous components, segregation of liquids, elimination of closed cavities etc.;
• Weighing and final radiological control on the separated items. Transport to the interim storage areas and registration of the interim storage location on the electronic database;
• Writing the documentation of all actions in an electronic logbook;
• Preparation of the codification of waste packaging daily;
• Control of the good performance of the dose-rate and contamination detectors by means of a calibration source;
• Performance of basic maintenance on mechanical tools in use for waste handling.
