Job Description
- Carry out seismic interpretation, depth conversion and generation of maps used in exploration and development projects.
- Participate in the Data Room, Bid Round and field evaluations, including risking and volumetric estimates.
- Implement in the daily work the use of modern seismic interpretation techniques and best practices.
- Integrate and align the work with other disciplines such as Geology and Reservoir Engineering.
- Effectively communicate technical results of evaluations and studies to functional management, both written and verbally.
- Provide advice and support on geophysical matters to the Data Base Management group.
- Provide technical advice and quality control on seismic acquisition design.
- Participate in (re)processing planning, quality control and follow-up work.
- Keep informed about geophysical technology developments, promote the introduction of new technologies where relevant and justifiable.
- Mentor, coach and train junior colleagues in seismic interpretation techniques, work flows and best practices.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor degree in Geoscience, preferably MSc or higher with a strong focus on Geophysics.
- More than 10 year experience in geophysics, in an international E&P operator.
- Demonstrable experience from working in a variety of sedimentary basins and tectonic settings.
- Good communication and relationship skills, both inside and outside the company.
- Strong technical skills on geophysical special studies subjects.
- Good coordination and supervisory abilities to interact with junior colleagues and other EP disciplines.
- Ability to be a proactive self-starter, with the capacity to take initiative and to propose the introduction of new work practices and new technologies.
- Working knowledge in English is essential.
