Java Developer for Listed Derivatives Global Expiry System for a fixed term contract

The right candidate must be an experienced technologist, equally comfortable talking about design, testing, threading, and SDLC best practices. He or she should also want to work in a face-paced, deadline-driven global team environment and be able to communicate effectively with the business users and with colleagues in our offices across the world. This is a good opportunity to work on technically challenging projects and learn about the business.

• 3-5 yrs experience in development with JAVA
• Strong Server-side Java development experience
• Spring, JUnit, Design Patterns
• Experience with XML, XSD
• Understanding of MQ
• SQL (DB2 UDB experience preferred, but not required)
• Experience or interest in learning Flex, RIA development
• Basic understanding of Unix shell scripting or Perl
• Strong fundamental technology skills (OO design, threading, SDLC)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization and coordination skills
• Detail oriented and disciplined but with the ability to work on short deadlines on occasion
• Strong interest in learning about the business environment and working with multiple business users groups in different locations across the world
