Job Description

The Senior OSS/NMS Engineer Responsibilities: To Manage the OSS/NMS for the Network Fault Management and Performance of the GSM Network. Maintain, backup and upgrade all required systems dealing with the provision of Network Management related information as well as providing reports and maintaining NMS system availability to meet customers KPI's.

If required, Emergency Support Handling and CSR Handling. Disturbance Investigation and troubleshooting. Required skills and activities should include, but not be limited to:

Coordination with CORE, RAN, CS, GPRS and other engineers for integration of respective products with OSS
When required integration of DCN with Network elements, OSS servers
Taking full system backup on a regular basis
Good troubleshooting and fault rectification skills on the OSS system
Configure additional nodes and do upgrades of existing system when required.
Integration of nodes into OSS-RC for Fault Management.
Provide the Customer with reports of OSS/NMS performance on a scheduled basis.
Provision of customized performance reports as required.
Ensure provision of fault management information to the NOC.
Excellent knowledge of OSS/NMS
Excellent knowledge of UNIX, Solaris and SQL.
Good understanding of TCP/IP routing.
- Good analytical ability, Advanced problem solving, Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently, while managing customer expectations.
- Ability to evaluate customer requirements and provide solutions with support from other team members.
- Customer focused and results oriented
- Works well under pressure, Attention to details, Fast practical learning.
Fluent in English

Job Qualifications preferably a BSC degree in Software Engineering. Any of the following would be beneficial: Computer Science, Telecommunication Information Technology and Electrical Engineering
