Aromatics Technology Specialist


Chronos Consulting ( client seeks an Aromatics Technology Speciality
• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; a Master’s degree
is preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in the petrochemical industry with a minimum of 10 years in aromatics manufacturing and technical support.
• Deep experience in the petrochemicals industry, with significant knowledge in aromatics manufacturing, technical support and aromatics technology management. Must be knowledgeable of available technologies for aromatics manufacturing for multiple different products, and have a general market and commercial understanding of aromatics and their derivatives in downstream products and industries.
• Strong knowledge and technical capabilities in understanding aromatics processes.
• Prior leadership position in aromatics manufacturing and technology management in the development and execution of growth strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead technical discussions and recommendations on aromatics products for new projects and ventures.
- Develop preferred licensor guidelines for aromatics products.
- Provide due diligence support for evaluation and appraisal of manufacturing assets in the operation, maintenance, and reliability areas. Conduct performance reviews of the company’s aromatics operations.
- Assess new and emerging aromatics technologies and support technology research and development.
- Act as a bridge for communications between refineries and Corporate Planning on technical and technology related aspects of aromatics production and selection, both for refinery and cracker operations.
- Provide high level engineering expertise in the resolution of plant operational problems.
