As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for the design and management of geotechnical and/or geo-environmental assignments including (but not limited to): desk studies, ground investigations (factual and interpretative), human health, groundwater and gas risk assessments and preparation of Remediation Method Statements.

You will also provide clients with geo-environmental advice and assistance as required on an ad hoc basis, and negotiate and liaise with relevant regulatory authorities (NHBC, EA, LA etc.) as necessary.

You will have a good working knowledge of appropriate British Standards, Eurocodes, Industry Guidance and NHBC Standards.

The person

You will hold a BEng, BSc or higher technical qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science etc.) and will be working towards Chartered Engineer status. You will also have at least two years of relevant experience, ideally gained in ground investigation, interpretation and reporting.

The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with good analysis and technical capability in MS Word. Experience of MS Excel, AutoCAD and geotechnical assessment and modelling would also be desirable.
