An opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a fast-growing team in Cardiff. The successful applicant will be working as part of a dynamic structural engineering outfit within a vibrant and modern multi-discipline office, a stone’s throw from Cardiff city centre.

The structural team, headed by our Technical Director for Structural Engineering, is looking to add an enthusiastic and driven engineer, who will be responsible for the delivery of projects – from concept through to construction – across a wide range of sectors. We currently have projects running in the defence, education, leisure and residential sectors, and are already building a strong and competitive profile in Wales, delivering high quality designs on project values from £100k to £50 million.
Core job functions:
Preparation of fee proposals, input into project bids, ITTs etc
Delivery of scheme and concept designs
Delivery of detailed design including full tender and construction packages
Liaison with statutory authorities, architects, the design team and contractors
Attendance at client, design and site meetings
Management and development of engineers and technicians.
Degree (BEng / MEng) in civil/structural engineering OR a first degree in a related discipline
Chartered Membership/Associate Membership of the ICE/IStructE, OR working towards chartership
Qualitative and quantitative experience (minimum five years) in building structures design
Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills
Marketing/business development skills
Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
Basic AutoCAD and Revit skills
Knowledge of BIM.
