Electrical Engineer
The main duties and responsibilities are:
A role has become available on a prestigious government facilities management contract for an electrical engineer. The successful candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase).
The successful engineer will be site based, covering one very large, Grade II* listed government office building in Central London. The role is for a shift engineer. The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance (specifically emergency lighting maintenance and repairs). There will also be a requirement to manage any reactive tasks that get raised, from diagnosis through to sourcing parts and on to completion.
The candidate will be working as part of a wider engineering team and so there may be a requirement for them to pick up other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.
Candidate must:-
Possess good communication skills and be a team player
Have experience of PPM and reactive maintenance
Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working on electrical systems
Have the ability to manage their time effectively
Have a flexible approach to working
Be proactive
To report any faults in meeting rooms, public areas and Reception areas.
Maintaining awareness of health and safety regulations in the building.
Carry out any task deemed reasonable by your manager.
The role will include working directly for the Engineering Supervisor, whilst supporting the wider engineering team. You will be working with various different parties, including specialist subcontractors in order to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients. You must be able to demonstrate that you are aware of best working practices and that you are following them at all times.

City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent
Knowledge and experience of building services, with an electrical bias
Ability to act on own initiative
Full Clean Driving licence
Ability to work with different people
Be practical and demonstrate good common sense
Currently have CTC clearance/be able to gain CTC clearance if not currently possessed
