Strategic Business Development Manager – Automotive Dealer Services

Chronos Consulting’s client is an international B2B vehicle inspection leader for the study, development, and application of technologies for motor vehicle testing, diagnostics, repair, technician training, and information management. They develop and manage Inspection and Maintenance programs, and provide a wide range of commercial inspection services such as New Car, Off-Lease, Certified Pre-Owned, auction, B2B online, and dealer testing, inspection, and certification services.

This is a newly created role to leverage your industry experience and expand within Dealer Services. You will identify markets to sell new services and solutions. This is a combination of strategy and sales execution with a high degree of consultative selling. Location within the USA is open, with preference in the Midwest or East Coast. This is an individual contributor role with the possibility of growing a team in the future.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Business Development USA, you will:

Identify, develop, and pursue new services and opportunities within Automotive OEM dealers

Develop and execute sales strategies for new and existing services and continuously cultivate client relationships once business has been secured

Attend and actively participate at industry conferences, enhancing perception of company and brand awareness; continuously investigate, understand, and provide internal briefings on the evolving competitive landscape

Prepare proposals based on customer specifications, work internally with cross-functional team to develop and quote opportunities

The Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree coupled with 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically in dealership services and inspection, certification, training, and advisory services experience a plus

Strong industry knowledge with a great reputation and passion to share expertise and insight

Professional and approachable with a high level of written and oral communication skills

Strategic mindset and consultative sales approach

Entrepreneurial self-starter, open-minded and service-oriented with a desire to make an impact on new business opportunities

Able to travel 50%+ within the USA. Home based or office location.
